The famous writer lived in it with his wife Jean from 1924 until his death in 1930.

In the British Hampshire, the country estate of the author of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is being sold. This is reported by the Daily Mail.

The price of the mansion is almost three million pounds sterling. The house has eight bedrooms.

It is known that until recently the house was owned by interior designer Jane McIntyre. According to her, almost nothing needed to be changed there.

It still has three original beautiful stone fireplaces, which Sir Arthur himself installed.

“We renovated the parquet floor and removed the overly modern kitchen and bathrooms, restoring a style more appropriate to that period,” the designer noted.

Also, the exterior of the house has preserved old beams, and inside there are spectacular fireplaces and ceiling beams.
